If you live in Rhode Island, then you hopefully know about the two Corner Bakery Cafe locations in this beautiful ocean state. While the Corner Bakery Cafe headquarters are in Texas, this gem of a bakery/restaurant is located across the United States. I’m sorry to my Canadian readers–guess you’ll just have to come visit and check it out!
I would describe this fast-food restaurant as both an on-the-go travel stop or a relax-and-enjoy coffee shop. Their menu ranges from deliciously baked treats to breakfast sandwiches to healthy sandwich and salad options to whole meals! Their variety and healthy options make this place a great choice for those who like to enjoy healthy foods while also indulging in some baked goods.
A couple of weekends ago, Frank and I spent quite a few hours doing work and studying at the local cafe in Cranston, RI. When we arrived, we set up shop and grabbed a bite to eat before hitting the books.
We split the UpTown Turkey Sandwich toasted on multigrain bread, so good! The sandwich included smoked turkey, avocado, tomato, bacon, lettuce and mayo.
We also each enjoyed our own salad; Frank ordered the cobb salad and I ordered the spinach sweet crisp salad with chicken. A big bed of fresh spinach greens with strawberries, oranges, red grapes, goat cheese and a pomegranate vinaigrette. So tasty and definitely a salad I’d like to re-create!
After a couple of hours, I went back up to order a coffee and a chocolate chip cookie–their coffee was really smooth, just how I like it and the cookie…so GOOD!
In addition to their delicious food, we have found that the staff are extremely friendly and really take good care of you. The other great thing about this cafe, if you stay in to eat, they give you a buzzer and the food is brought directly to your table. No need to wait in a crowded line!
It’s important to note that Corner Bakery Cafe’s website is a great resource for customers. Their menu has a great layout, making it very easy to navigate. They even offer a nutrition calculator for those who are conscious about their calorie-intake. You can mix and match different items and they offer soup and sandwich/salad and sandwich combo’s, too.
So, if you’re ever in the area or near a Corner Bakery Cafe, I suggest you stop by whether you’re looking for a quick on-the-go option or if you need some Wi-Fi access and space to get some work done.
Enjoy your Monday, everyone!
